The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first actually PlayStation smartphone to come from Sony Ericsson! Let it be the first of many! Any device that combines the already great functionality of a gaming console into a phone along with high spec gaming features is a winner with us! The Xperia Play features real gaming controls, gaming keys, touch sensitive gaming controls and an analog touch joystick all hidden beneath the large 4 inch colour screen!
The Xperia Play runs an Andriod operating systems (version 2.3) integrated a whole host of features along with multi-tasking, video calling and a refreshed user interface! The Play has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, image stabilization, video recording and geo-tagging. Geo-tagging simply enables the phone to tag your photos with the location in which they were taken, you can then view them back on a interactive map! As well as being able to amazing high quality games the phone also has a host of multimedia functions such as a Media player allowing you to play most file types of music and video, a host of google software pre installed such as Maps, Gmail and Google Talk. TrackID allowing you to get the track name and artist of any music simply by playing some of the music at the phone.
The Xperia Play has an OK internal memory of 400Mb but this can be expanded to up to 32Gb with the use of a microSD memory card, a 8Gb card is included in the box to get you started! Other features of the play include a document viewer and editor, active noise cancellation functionality, built in stereo speakers for excellent music quality, not forgetting, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity!
