Launched as the only smartphone with a 41 megapixel camera the Nokia Lumia 1020 makes the perfect combination between compact camera and phone. The Nokia Lumia range has proven itself at delivering great images but the Lumia 1020 takes this to the next level with 4 times optical zoom and image stabilisation which make it a very powerful tool. That impressive camera means that you can also record Full HD Video.
The sleek rectangular design of the handset is dressed to impress and manages to stand out and is refreshing in a world of rounded edges. The 4.5" Screen is vibrant and clear with a great feeling and accurate touchscreen. The optical camera does leave a small bulge on the back but cases for the phone encompass this. In particular the wireless charging case which is available for the 1020 means no more fumbling for the charging socket, instead just lay the device in the charging case on a special pad and it will charge wirelessly.
We’ve seen a lot of phones with impressive cameras which have little else to offer users but the Nokia Lumia 1020, like the rest of the Lumia range, runs on Windows 8 Mobile meaning that the handset gives so much more. Pre-installed with a very slimmed down Microsoft Office suite means that you can easily access and view Word and Excel documents on the go and even create very basic documents.
