The LG GW300 is LG's answer to the demand for handsets which are designed for messaging on the go. The handset is probably one of the cheapest with a full qwerty keyboard on the market, so does it make the grade?
The handset certainly looks the part, if not a little like the offspring between a Nokia and Blackberry. It has a full querty keyboard(which is good for messaging of all types) and a 2.4 Inch screen which isn't too bad for a non-touchscreen handset. The glossy black/blue goes well with the chrome trim and the handset looks like it could fit in with handsets several times its own price tag.
Now why so cheap? The GW300 is a simple device, most people think "messenger phone" and expect a range of connectivity options that you can, well, message with. LG obviously feel this is not the case with no 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity. This does make the handset available at the price it is, but short of texting there is not a lot else you could manage at a comfortable pace. Things like Facebook would almost certainly be out of the question! You do get a modest 2 Megapixel camera and BlueTooth connectivity.

The LG GW300 is actually a low price handset with a qwerty keyboard, rather then a messaging phone, which is something that we like. There is nothing better then having a full keyboard to text on and if you can't afford a handset loaded with all the bells and whistles, but want the keyboard, then the GW300 is the handset for you!
