The Apple iPhone 3G S is the third iPhone model to be released onto the market and it is basically just a further update of it's predecessors in terms of both hardware and software. It is the same size and shape as the previous models but incorporates several new features.
If you have stepped outside in the last few months you will know that the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G have been completely dominating the mobile phone market with handsets that it is easier to list the things you can't do, then to trying to list what they can do. Apple have now released the 3rd handset in their iPhone family which again makes the list of what they can't do even smaller still!
Just a quick recap of what the former handsets and the new iPhone 3G S already have to their name: A user-friendly media player (Audio and Video), Wi-Fi Connectivity, high speed mobile internet, a touch-screen with award-winning interface and over 50000 applications that help you to do everything from deciding which pizza to order to planing global conquests(or at least in fiction anyway).

So what has the 3G S been given to further the gap between the iPhone series and other mobile handsets? For starters the base operating system for the handset has been updated to allow 'smoother' running and better usability such as the ability to copy and paste text and images and 'shake to undo'. Basic commands that were missing from the previous models. A longer lasting battery has been installed along with a 3 Megapixel camera capable of recording video at 30 FPS and MMS.
Another two areas where the handset has been noticeably improved are it's ability to browse the internet and the watching and storing of media. For internet browsing Apple has given the handset youtube account support as well as automatic Wi-Fi Login and if you wanted to watch/listen to media stored on your device you'll have to decide between the 16 GB(about 3500 songs) and 32 GB(about 7000 songs) versions. If your one of those wireless junkies you'll also appreciate the ability to stream stereo audio wirelessly through Bluetooth!
For most all this will seem more then you need but, if your anything like us, it will all be what you really really want!

I heard about the hype of the iPhone and to be honest being a person who always had the motto of "a phone is for calling not for playing musi or taking pictures etc" After getting a free upgrade I was forced to eat my words as I would not be without it now. It's handy apps means I can do my weekly food shopping whilst sat on a train. I can keep up to date on facebook and download all my music.
I love it and I would never go back now and would recommend the iPhone to anyone!!

Superb phone! The only fault would I can find is with my provider! If you have a Pay As You Go iPhone like mine and you access the web it eats your credit immediately! Be careful!

I got this phone by mistake... Ordered Samsung Galaxy S but 3 sent me the iPhone 3Gs. Couldn't resist and opened it up and started using it. I had an iPod Touch so knew what to expect. So intuitive and easy to use. I'm writing this review on it.
Best things are the applications of course, but the camera and video are very good too, Better than I expecte! Not sure about the call quality or whatever, as I'm a saddo and nobody calls me. ;(

I've had it for a year and a half now. It's a pretty resilient piece of technology it has to be said. I would highly recommend getting a rubber or protective case for it, if you're like me and drop things constantly.
App wise its everything you need and I haven't felt the need to upgrade to the iphone4 as I am running the Operating System version 4 on the phone. To start another contract at this point for me would be pointless. I would argue that at its level the iPhone 3G S is in fact better than the iphone4, if only its reliable.

Who would of thought that after 18 months of the same phone I would still not be bored of it. The app store is the store that keeps on giving. Whether its entertainment or business there's an "app for that".
In my opinion the phone itself only suffers due to its battery life.
The look and feel off the phone are still current, I do not feel like I have a phone that is 18 months old. The phone looks better than the iPhone 4 but loses out in the battery power.
All things considered would I recommend the phone? - YES!

I have the Apple iPhone 3G S and it is a fabulous mobile which is sleek with the latest features! Such as a built in iPod and a GPS system, which is great! The camera is also extremely clear, the best camera on a phone I have ever had. The phone is definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone!

I have had this phone since 2008 and have had no problems whatsoever! Would recommend this phone to people that love technology, the beauty is there is an iPod included so you only need to carry one device around with you, the camera is extremely clear and the loudspeaker is excellent, definitely worth the money!

A very good highly popular interactive phone that has all the gadgets you could ask for. It has a iPod, radio, full internet access, video player, camera, messaging services and of course it is a phone! So it’s an all in one mobile device. Only real problem is the fact that the camera isn't very good and the quality is poor.

It is a good phone but the bad thing is there is no video calling, I had video calling way back in 2004 on a Sony Ericcson phone so I think paying so much for the iPhone it should have had it on but apart from that, everything works and runs very smoothly and I still think they are the best smartphones out on the market!

I used to have a Apple iPhone 3GS I found the phone fantastic! The best phone I had ever had apart from the Camera wasn't as good as the previous phones I owned. Apart from that I had no problems using the touch screen and in the 2 years I owned the phone I had no faults which was quite amazing seeing as I used the phone ALOT.
I recommend this phone if you aren't fussed about the camera quality.

I think this phone is great and the only thing I can fault it for is the lack of flash on the phone however the newer version of phone does now have a flash and you have to pay for ringtones even though you have already brought the song on iTunes. I would never get anything other than a iPhone now. I have got loads of applications and my phone is also my iPod I have tons of songs on it that I use for them gym and never forget it as I always have my phone with me!

Fabulous phone, that has a large clear screen and allows access to the internet and lots of other options and applications, this phone has totally changed the concept of the mobile phone for me and is like having the world in my pocket. Only fault is the speakerphone is poor. Picture quality is excellent and I don't bother carrying my camera now as this does the job just as well.

The iPhone 3GS is great! You can take clear pictures, call fast, text easily, and more! The internet is so fast! You can download games, books, and music to keep you entertained on long trips/drives/etc. The iPhone 3GS is so easy to use, a monkey could learn it! The only downside is that they keep updating the iPhone so in a decade or even a couple of years, this fantastic phone will seem ancient.
